If you are a software savant or a database dynamo, then consider yourself in high demand. According to survey data, IT careers are projected to grow at a higher rate than all other occupations.
In U.S. News & World Report’s [2] “100 Best Jobs of 2013,” five of the top 15 careers are in tech. These careers include computer systems analysts (#4) and database administrators (#6).
Schools.com illustrates the high demand for tech in a new infographic [3]. Computer-related occupations are expected to grow 22 percent from 2010 to 2020. That’s 8 percentage points higher than the projected growth for all occupations.
Don’t wait to pursue a career in tech: 33 percent of IT executives plan to hire in 2013.
