When it comes to reducing the amount of paper that an office produces, businesses get a dual benefit of achieving cost savings and doing something good for the environment [2] at the same time. It alsom means organizations can lighten their loads — figuratively and literally.
According to data compiled by iDatix, an enterprise document management company, for its paperless infographic [3], the U.S. produces 71 million tons of paper each year. This, apparently, is equal to the average weight of 9 million elephants. Talk about getting rid of dead weight!
