How to Follow VMworld 2012 from Your Desk

Updates for every device and preference.

VMware’s annual IT conference is happening this week in San Francisco, which is currently the hottest tech town in the United States. Luckily, because it’s not easy to just pick up and go to the Golden State for five days, this virtualization company is bringing the entire conference to your computer.

There are so many ways to follow and get involved right from your desk or mobile device, and we’re making sure you know about all of them.

For starters, community tech talks are being streamed for free on LiveStream but there are many other ways to follow along.

Twitter

Follow @VMworld on Twitter to get live updates all day from the event. There are several hashtags that are worth saving, since many users at this conference are tweeting pictures and thoughts.

Facebook

Now you have a real excuse to be on Facebook during work hours. The VMworld team is posting photos, videos and updates from the Moscone Center. Like them here to follow along.

Google+

To each his own. WMware is covering all its bases by posting conference updates on Google+. Google’s social network has a growing tech community, and this is a great way to get involved. Add them to a circle and stay up to date.

Instagram

Why do we need to see images from the conference in vignettes and various states of saturation and contrast? The better question is, “Why not?” Follow the image stream here, or search for #vmworld on Instagram, Flickr, TwitPic or Pinterest.Check back for more information and updates from VMworld 2012!
