11 Hollywood Uses of Barcode Technology [Infographic]
Not just for asset tagging, barcode technology has worked its way into more than one movie and television series.

If there’s one thing that Hollywood has taught us, it’s that geek is chic. How else can you explain the popularity of movies like Napoleon Dynamite, the record-breaking box office figures for Marvel’s The Avengers, or the mean-geek depiction of Mark Zuckerberg in Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Network?
But one technology has had a recurring role in Hollywood: barcodes.
With an infographic, Wasp Barcode Technologies has assembled 11 examples of movies and TV shows that have used barcode technologies in their plots. While the Pandorum barcodes might leave you with nightmares, a barcode never looked so sweet as when it adorned the back of Jessica Alba’s neck in Dark Angel.
